"Free" Stuff: Photo Installation at Mainframe

A familiar feature of the urban landscape is the half-dead piece of furniture lying helplessly on a curb or sidewalk with a 'free' sign pinned to it.  Free Stuff is a photo installation of documented objects collected by a small community using camera phones. The taxonomy of the objects presents viewers with several playful layers of economic and real community activity.

Opening this Thursday, August 8th, 6-9pm at Mainframe during the West Seattle Art Walk.  All proceeds will go towards the Seattle All Souls' Homes of Hope project.  Help build homes for those without one in Ensenada, Mexico this Fall.
