Passages: Surface and Form

We are very pleased to inaugurate our new gallery space with the work of Virginia Katz. Passages: Surface and Form is a solo show featuring eleven recent paintings and drawings created through personal observation and the technology of satellite imagery. Here the ideas of distance, form, flatness, and place converge into questions concerning our perceptions of the environment and its distress.

Virginia Katz is an artist working in the greater Los Angeles area, who earned her M.F.A. from CSU, Long Beach in 2004. She has shown widely in Los Angeles and has exhibited in New York, Europe and Asia. Her work has been reviewed in Art in America, The LA Times, and ArtScene. Virginia was an artist-in-residence at Foundation Kaus Australis in The Netherlands May, 2014.

Please join us for an opening reception with Virginia Saturday, September 13th from 6pm to 9pm at our new space in Georgetown. Presale of paintings and drawings commences by appointment from Sept. 3rd to Sept. 13th.
